Why the fuck is no one online right now?! I just saw this and my mouth literally dropped. I have no idea if I am supposed to say something or not... I kind of just want to laugh, but I am so shocked. I hate all of you for not being online during this crisis. What happened?!

I could be wrong, but I feel Joe blew up his chance at winning this game this round.
I get Sassy / Jacob are his friends, but he had a great position with the blue guys + Cody, had ALL the pesos in the world to keep himself safe for at least two rounds and even if he didn't want to vote out Sassy / Jacob he could have went after one of Kurtis/Zavi/Bryan (probably Bryan).
Now? It looks like he's going to be left with an upset Rich/Billy. It's going to come out eventually that him/Sassy/Jacob are friends if it isn't already obvious. If Cody leaves that's losing a huge distraction to hide behind. Jassy is like this gigantic bull seeing a flaming red dressed Cody. Also, he's giving up his pesos to help Sassy stay?
Idk. Bad move this round in my opinion.

He's trying to make amends for pissing Jassy off last round, but I agree Dave, like you said, he's totally shooting himself in the foot this round. Two rounds in merge and after this vote he will just about pissed off everyone in some way, shape, or form lol

I will point out and give credit to the Mexico cast because this is the first season in a long time where post merge the tribal lines are so blurred. Granted it's still really early on in the merge, but I really could see the alliances shifting round after round from here on out. Maybe that's because this season started out with 3 tribes? I dunno, but the dynamics are crazy different than that of recent seasons.
Faroe post merge continued to be Kalsoy vs Skorin. Congo post merge continued to be the Americans vs Rest of World. Bali post merge continued to be Rookies vs Vets.
Here it's totally just like a hodgepodge.

I haven't been following closely since the merge, but I'm pretty sure I've noted 4 different people getting votes so far soooo I'm really confused.

Votes for Sassy Billy & Cody
Votes for Cody Jacob, Joe, Kurtis, Sassy, Zavi
Votes for Joe TJ
Votes for Billy Bryan
Undecided Rich
With Sassy bidding 200 on the Idol and no other takers, it's 5-1-1-0 so far

The fact that Cody and John have to spend time alone now that they are the first two jurors is just too amusing to me.

Okay, for Joe and everyone else who was left in the dark this round, I will briefly touch on the important developments of the round:
Essentially after the vote, Jacob and Sassy felt like they were dead in the water for a while. These two are not really good at keeping their emotions in check, so their idea of damage control consists of Sassy scrambling for T.J.'s vote to the point where it pissed him off and he found her to be obnoxious. She then proceeds to bitch about Cody behind his back to T.J. before adding Cody to the same Skype call and attempting to win him over by calling him all sorts of names and bitching him out and essentially trying to strong-arm and threaten him, while T.J. -who was unable to speak, but could only type - watched in awkward silence.
Jacob, at this point had basically had enough of Joe going back and forth on his word constantly, but managed to bury the hatchet temporarily when he got the sense that Joe's apology was really sincere. Joe promised to give back any pesos he took from them in the previous round in an attempt to extend an olive branch and made amends by promising to vote with the Hotboiis in the next vote.
Somehow Kurtis managed to get into the good graces of the Hotboiis after betraying them. Yet again, Kurtis proves to be the master of damage control. Seriously, the guy is like the knife that keeps on stabbing them in the back and they keep on begging him for more. As much as I don't like him as a character this season, the man has got some serious game. He seems to be in everyone's final four plans.
Bryan managed to convince the Hotboiis that they need to bring T.J. in and make him an official member, seeing as: A - They need the numbers and B - T.J. is completely trustworthy and won't bail on them
His plan worked, as Jacob and Sassy agreed it would be fair for Bryan to finally be allowed to pull someone in for a change... and also because they had no other choice at this point.
At the challenge, the Hotboiis agreed to all pile-up their attacks on Billy in an attempt to stop him from winning immunity, as well as to make it seem like Billy was their target, while in fact they would target Rich, because nobody would see any votes going his way until it was too late. Kurtis, however decided to hang back and watch everyone attack each other.
Surprisingly, Zavi finessed his role in the challenge in a deviously smart way. He managed to solidify a spot on the Hotboois alliance alongside his crush, Kurtis, by telling the people he would be helping in the vote that he would target them in the challenge. He would attack Kurtis or any other Hotboii, but purposefully post after the actual damage was done by the point-scorer. He would then leave it there long enough for Rich, Cody, Billy and co. to see it and think that he was legitimately still on their side before deleting his posts.
For once, Rich's paranoia was warranted as he won himself immunity and effectively threw a wrench in the plan of the Hotboiis.
Before the vote, everyone was scrambling like we had not seen them do before. Joe's loyalties came into question due to his wishy-washy attempts to play both sides. At first, Sassy was still adamantly targeting Billy, while trying to convince Joe to keep the idol away from him by using the pesos he stole from herself and Jacob to bid on the idol.
After being bullied by Sassy and hearing that she and Jacob hated his guts and wanted him gone, Cody caused some paranoia by going to Jacob and telling him he was voting for Sassy next. This would have been an amazing move, had he actually planned on using Sassy's name as a decoy instead of falling into the same trap she did and making her same mistakes a day later.
Despite Bryan campaigning to oust Joe for being too wishy-washy and bringing T.J. in on that plan, the Hotboiis targeted Cody both out of fear of what his vote control power could do in the game and also because they just did not like him - against Bryan's protests and behind T.J.'s back. Cody started putting two and two together to correctly decipher that he was the target - but foolishly bid waaaay too little on the idol. Joe then handed all of his stolen pesos to Sassy, to help her bid on the idol as well. In another blunder, Cody opted to not use his vote control power at all. He could have swapped Jacob's vote as he and Sassy are an obvious voting pair (not that it would have helped him because of Joe handing pesos to Sassy, but it would have at least made logical sense in that scenario if Joe had kept his word and secured numbers for future rounds).
In the end, Bryan cast his vote for Billy because he promised never to vote for Cody and honored his word. The rest of the Hotboiis, including Zavi, all voted for Cody - while Billy, Rich and Cody voted for Sassy. Joe and Kurtis ultimately picked sides and helped vote for Cody - while poor T.J. was left in the dark to cast his vote for Joe, leaving him feeling alone and vulnerable heading in to round 9.
Side-Notes:
Ultimately Cody talked himself out of the game and onto a seat in the jury Bond-villain style. Sure, it caused some fireworks, but it was such a rookie mistake.
Strangely enough, Jacob and Sassy did the exact same thing, but because they are in cahoots with the right people, it did not backfire on them as horribly as it did for Cody.
Jacob and Sassy prevailed this round, but I feel it was not because of anything either of them did. I feel it was all Kurtis and Joe who got the result, but I think it was a better move for Kurtis. The knives that Joe has thrust into the backs of Rich, Billy and Cody are longer than those of Kurtis and he now has more blood on his hands than anyone in the game.
Zavi is beginning to show a more evil, cunning side of himself lately. He is emerging as the darker version of Tomas. Sign those tow up for "Survivor Good vs Evil: Slovakia Edition" and place them as opposing team captains and I might watch that series...
