Welcome Castaways to your very first Immunity Challenge! The first step in your adventure to becoming the winner of iSurv1vor 18 begins now. I hope you've been getting to know your tribe mates well because today a great amount of teamwork is required for success. The last 48-hours have been a chance for tribes to develop some sort of camaraderie and synergy... let's put it to the test!
It's a known fact that fire represents life in this game, so this challenge is a perfect initiation into the iSurv1vor Family. It's time light your torches!
Tribes will begin at the starting line where each member must push a wheelbarrow along a marked course through the desert. Throughout the course you must collect all six members torches, and once all torches have been collected a fire must be built. The first two tribes to have all torches lit will earn safety.
As a tribe you must complete each of the following Legs in order:
Leg 1. Push The Wheelbarrows
Leg 2. Find All 7 Torches
Leg 3. Push The Wheelbarrows
Leg 4. Collect Wood
Leg 5. Push The Wheelbarrows
Leg 6. Dig To Get Flint
Leg 7. Push The Wheelbarrows
Leg 8. Start A Fire
Leg 9. Light The Torches
Leg 10. Run To Finish Line
Your official time starts when one member of your tribe begins a thread labeled "OFFICIAL IC#1" in your tribe campground. This is where the entire challenge will take place. You can create a side thread where your tribe can talk challenge strategy, but make sure that the thread where the Legs are posted is the "OFFICIAL IC#1" thread.
What each tribe must do...
Leg 1: Push The Wheelbarrows - Each tribe of 6 will begin by having each member post a picture of a wheelbarrow in the "OFFICIAL IC#1" thread. Accompany the picture with this phrase;
"[Name] pushes their wheelbarrow."
If a member of your tribe is missing, any available tribe mate will be able to post for them, but Production must know who the wheelbarrow is for. There is a 4 hour penalty if someone posts for someone else.
Leg 2: Find All 7 Torches - At this point each tribe has made their way down the course to clusters of torches waiting for them in the sand. Grab your torch by simply posting a picture of an unlit torch or tiki in the "OFFICIAL IC#1" thread. Accompany the picture with this phrase;
"[Name] grabs their troch."
If a member of your tribe is missing, any available tribe mate will be able to post for them, but Production must know who the unlit torch is for. There is a 4 hour penalty if someone posts for someone else.
Leg 3: Push The Wheelbarrows - Continue by again having each member post a 2nd picture of a wheelbarrow in the "OFFICIAL IC#1" thread. Accompany the picture with this phrase:
"[Name] pushes their wheelbarrow."
If a member of your tribe is missing, any available tribe mate will be able to post for them, but Production must know who the wheelbarrow is for. There is a 4 hour penalty if someone posts for someone else.
Leg 4: Collect Wood - once 6 tribe mates have posted a 2nd image of a wheelbarrow, only 5 are required to move on until your tribe needs to cross the Finish Line. The 5 members who are chosen to collect wood must post this phrase in the "OFFICIAL IC#1" thread:
"[Name] is collecting wood."
These posts must be in Alphabetical order by first name. Again you may post for another player but with a 4 hour penalty per person. Use that players name in Alphabetical order too.
Leg 5: Push The Wheelbarrows - After collecting wood, each tribe of 5 will continue by having each member post a 3rd picture of a wheelbarrow in the "OFFICIAL IC#1" thread. Accompany the picture with this phrase;
"[Name] pushes their wheelbarrow."
If a member of your tribe is missing, any available tribe mate will be able to post for them, but Production must know who the wheelbarrow is for. There is a 4 hour penalty if someone posts for someone else.
Leg 6: Dig To Get Flint - once 5 members of the tribe collect wood, 4 members must dig to get flint using the following items: spoon, hands, spade, shovel.
- 4 castaways must each use at least two of these items, two separate times
- Each item must be used at least one time
- No item can be used back to back
- After using the last item, wait appropriately before moving
- 4 players must participate in this leg. No posting for others.
The following time must be waited between each Dig To Get Flint post:
spoon - 5 min
hands - 10 min
spade - 20 min
shovel - 30 min
Follow the example below.
Sassy is using the spoon to dig out flint for Aguila [waits at least 5 minutes]
Bryan is using the spade to dig out flint for Aguila [waits at least 20 minutes]
TQ is using the shovel to dig out flint for Aguila [waits at least 30 minutes]
Cody is using the spoon to dig out flint for Aguila [waits at least 5 minutes]
Bryan is using the hands to dig out flint for Aguila [waits at least 10 minutes] etc..
Leg 7: Push The Wheelbarrows - After digging for the flint each tribe of 5 will continue by all 4 remaining members post a 4th picture of a wheelbarrow in the "OFFICIAL IC#1" thread. Accompany the picture with this phrase;
"[Name] pushes their wheelbarrow."
If a member of your tribe is missing, any available tribe mate will be able to post for them, but Production must know who the wheelbarrow is for. There is a 4 hour penalty if someone posts for someone else.
Leg 8: Starting The Fire - once 4 members have successfully pushed their wagons a 4th time, 3 members must make a fire. Each member must post a picture of a bonfire. Posts must be submitted for this leg in order of age. The oldest must post first and the youngest must post third. Accompany the image with the following phrase.
"[Name] is starting the fire".
4 hour penalty will be added if someone decides to post for another player.
Leg 9: Lighting The Torches - in no particular order all 6 original participating members must post the following:
"I am lighting my torch." + an image of a lit torch.
The text and image can be in the same post. Again, if a member is missing then another tribe mate may post in their place, but it will cost the tribe a 4 hour penalty.
Leg 10: Crossing The Finish Line - once all tribe members have their torches lit it is time to cross the finish line. All that needs to be done here is a single tribe member must post a picture of a Finish Line. (ex; drag race finish line, track race finish line, a finish line banner, etc..)
Reminders:
Be aware that each leg has different instructions and requires a different amount of tribe member participation. It is up to each tribe to figure out how they want to complete this obstacle course, but make sure one person from your ranks is removed from the challenge after each appropriate task leg. Also, try to avoid penalties!
