Round Three

Tehehe I'm happy that 'ze plan worked out nicely AND Tina has made her entrance into the game! Maybe we'll actually win a challenge??

Normally I would spend ~1/3 of this bitching about the challenge, but I honestly don't mind this one much... it's kinda like glorified, inverted scrabble. I generally like inverted anything (innuendo?), so I'll take it.

I think that I'm doing well re-framing my hyperbolic mean streak toward Tina... I guess it can be boiled down to misunderstanding, but don't make me feel sympathetic for you by sharing the story of your husband leaving you for another chick and then block me from skype and tell me you're going to bed. Crazy bitch.

Hmm... what else is there to share with you people? Jacob wants to do some sort of combined video/confessional-y thing, so look forward to that. Probably very sarcastic and vulgar. And very gay. It's funny coming from me, but my God that boy is gay. Still have man love for John and enjoy being adored by my Slovakian man meat... I pretend Zavi is a lot hotter in my head than his pictures suggest.

Well... and I guess that's all of them, really. I'm ready for some sort of switch up--conversation grows stale quickly with so few people early on in the game. There's only so many STDs to discuss with Jacob, so many "adult conversations" to be had with Jacob, and so much pretending I can do with my Slovakian.

1. What were your thoughts on Skylar being voted out of Serpiente?
As thrilled as I am for the control-a-vote business to be taken care of, I have to admit that it would have been more beneficial for my game to keep him in longer. TQ is working well with Cody on the red team, so it would have worked nicely to help bring my dream of a “partners” alliance to come to fruition. That being said, Skylar became shady as fuck and I hate him for whichever reason, so I’m not really all that bummed out about it. Plus, he self-voted, what’s a guy to do about that?


2. What are your opinions of your tribe compared to a couple of days ago? Has there been a change of opinion?

I mean… not really. Everyone still stands the same on the hierarchy. John is a low key leader who is responsible for any challenge work that we do, Jacob is bitchy and sarcastic and cares about the game when he is able to insult someone, Tina just comes across as an idiot, and Zavi… don’t you love Zavi!? Smiley face, heart, wink, emoticoooooooon. Well, and I guess I’m there too. Trying to be nicey-nice with everyone while figuring out which position I think they should go home in. If I get my way (I normally do), Jacob and I will make merge, John will get out just before merge (or right after) because of his excellence in challenges, and Zavi and Tina will take off far before merge.

3. Talk about the previous Immunity Challenge, what was your role? What was the biggest disadvantage for your tribe as a whole? What are you doing to prove your worth to the tribe in this weeks Word challenge?
My role was playing emotional support for John. Basically I just massaged his shoulders or… lower… at his request as he did the whole thing. There DEFINITELY was no “a” in that anagram, by the way. Hosting fail.

4. Are you expecting a switch/merge soon? What are your expectations/assumptions and is there anybody you wouldn't want to see on your tribe?
Oh, definitely. I would say after this challenge and 4 people take off total, it will be time to push into two tribes. Maybe some sort of dissolving business like the all stars? Of course, if we are the tribe dissolved that would be no bueno. If we dissolve and I end up with TQ on red team I would be fine, blue team is still a huge mystery though, so I’d rather steer clear of there. If for whatever reason other people came over to our team, I’d actually hope TQ and I stay away from each other. The less associated we are early in the game, the easier it will be to pretend to be distanced from ourselves later. I’d flirt with Bryan shamelessly, so send him my way.

5. Your tribe expects nothing but the best from you, are you delivering your full potential? If so, how does that make you a target and if not, how does this make you an easy boot?

Of course I’m not delivering 100% here, but at a certain point a smart player really has to assess the tribe’s culture and try as hard as possible to fit in. If I were on red team, where the culture is to work hard and actually… you know… try to win, then you’d see a lot more from me challenge-wise. While I love John for his efforts, I think he’s digging himself a hole by standing out so much. I like what I’m doing now, staying on John’s good side by playing his #2 but also pretending not to be taking the game so seriously, to stay on the same level as Jacob. Tina and Slovakia are SUPER periphery, so if I remain BFF with both of my guys, I remain safe.

6. After these last few days in the game, your opinions of people could start to change, or may have already. On a scale of 1 - 5 (or 4 where applicable), rank your tribe mates. Has this ranking changed? Explain.
Hmm I don’t think anyone has gotten heads more attractive… I have seen more pictures of Tina so I’d drop her to a negative 2… Zavi holds the key to my Slovakian fantasy driven heart, so let’s give him a 6.5/5 and John and Jacob are suitors with promise, so 4s.

7. If you could sum up your thoughts on the person you dislike the most in a meme/gif (without giving a name) what would it be?



8. How much of the pre-merge game is going to come back to haunt you later on?
I hope not much, I’m trying to cover my bases, but I’m limited until I can meet and greet all of the other folks.

We are 'ze losers, again. Well, really John is the loser seeing as he is really the only one who tried. Jacob and I made a couple sorry, borderline insulting attempts from the sidelines, but us even finishing the challenge was all John. 

The hope now, of course, is to be able to ditch Tina because she supposedly spent all of her money on the idol last time, but if John and I see that someone hasn't answered their question near the end of the night, we will just tack our votes to them to play it safe. It may be smart to try to split again between Zavi and Tina, but assuming that Tina votes Jacob, the off chance of get grabbing another idol isn't scary enough to put the effort into organizing semi-inactive people to vote a certain way.

Only three rounds in and I feel that my strategic-mindedness is slipping in the abyss. I want to do well but this tribe is Twilight Zone-esque in that no one has any desire or motivation to bond, make agreements, or do the challenges. Try too hard in a group that that will make you stick out way too much, and while the idol twist is good for inspiring paranoia, it isn't fantastic for allowing people to stand out because a well placed idol and a vote from its holder can take you out in one calculated move.

Here's hoping I'm here after this is over and that we get put into new teams ASAP!
