Hi John
Six days in, thirty-three to go!!!
Since a few people asked, we will be doing these questionnaires in your confessionals thread from now on instead. Here is a reminder as to why we are doing this and how this works:
Have fun with these and good luck for the next few days in this game.
Confessional Questions #2:
1. What were your thoughts on Skylar being voted out of Serpiente?
2. What are your opinions of your tribe compared to a couple of days ago? Has there been a change of opinion?
3. Talk about the previous Immunity Challenge, what was your role? What was the biggest disadvantage for your tribe as a whole? What are you doing to prove your worth to the tribe in this weeks Word challenge?
4. Are you expecting a switch/merge soon? What are your expectations/assumptions and is there anybody you wouldn't want to see on your tribe?
5. Your tribe expects nothing but the best from you, are you delivering your full potential? If so, how does that make you a target and if not, how does this make you an easy boot?
6. After these last few days in the game, your opinions of people could start to change, or may have already. On a scale of 1 - 5 (or 4 where applicable), rank your tribe mates. Has this ranking changed? Explain.
7. If you could sum up your thoughts on the person you dislike the most in a meme/gif (without giving a name) what would it be?
8. How much of the pre-merge game is going to come back to haunt you later on?

1. What were your thoughts on Skylar being voted out of Serpiente?I can't really get too worked up about it. I hope all is well with him and that his absence isn't due to anything too serious. He's inactive, so the tribe decided he had to go. The funny thing is, more than half the tribe is inactive, so I would guess we haven't seen the last of these votes. 2. What are your opinions of your tribe compared to a couple of days ago? Has there been a change of opinion? Two days ago I was whining about them. Today I think there's just a sense of resigned defeat. Kurtis and I are going to have to carry this tribe, and the rest of them are not going to contribute. I think we've all found our role on the tribe, and now we just have to live with it. 3. Talk about the previous Immunity Challenge, what was your role? What was the biggest disadvantage for your tribe as a whole? What are you doing to prove your worth to the tribe in this weeks Word challenge?I was the all around player in the last challenge. The biggest disadvantage for our tribe continues to be inactivity. I'm still frustrated by it because I can see the slackers sign on to the board. I can even see that they're viewing the tribe threads for the challenges. Most of them are going to get away with it for now. I want to say my effort's proven my worth, but we're not always winning. 4. Are you expecting a switch/merge soon? What are your expectations/assumptions and is there anybody you wouldn't want to see on your tribe?I do expect one soon. I pray to Bea Arthur above for it every night before I go to bed. I really don't think there's anyone I wouldn't want to see on my tribe, but I guess I'd be disappointed if my new tribe was as inactive as this one. 5. Your tribe expects nothing but the best from you, are you delivering your full potential? If so, how does that make you a target and if not, how does this make you an easy boot?I am not delivering my full potential, and for several reasons. If no one else is going to try but me and Kurtis, I'm not going to spend too much time trying to save the rest of them. I also don't want to seem like I'm too hungry for a win, so I've tried to stay pretty quiet. 6. After these last few days in the game, your opinions of people could start to change, or may have already. On a scale of 1 - 5 (or 4 where applicable), rank your tribe mates. Has this ranking changed? Explain.Based on the ranking system, I'm going to assume that you just want a straightforward ranking of most (4) to least (1) favorite. 4 - Kurtis 3 - Tina 2 - Zavi 1 - Jacob Tina jumps up higher on the list because I really respect her move at TC. She knew she needed to bid on that idol, and she went for it. I wish she would've talked with me before voting for Zavi in the process. I'd rather that vote had gone at Jacob. I would've voted with her. 7. If you could sum up your thoughts on the person you dislike the most in a meme/gif (without giving a name) what would it be?8. How much of the pre-merge game is going to come back to haunt you later on?I would like to say very little. I don't think I've done or said anything very damaging.

After a crazy previous round, it looks like this game is finally on!
Confessional Questions #3:
1. In a rare turn of events, we had a player be pulled from the game. What are your thoughts on Dashon being "medically evacuated" out of New La Arana?
2. Last round, the tribes were switched-up and we gave you guys a break from answering this questionnaire in order to take in the new changes and to get to know your new tribe-mates. How have you made use of this opportunity and how have you managed to bond with the new members of your tribe?
3. There was a lot of confusion during the last immunity challenge and in an iSurv1vor series first, a challenge was scrapped. How quickly did you adapt to this change? What were your initial thoughts of this change from your point of view within the game, given the dynamics of the tribal shuffle?
4. Let's talk about this auction. How important is tribal immunity this round? Are there any items catching your eye? How would you finesse bidding on tribal immunity and making a bid on an item that could further your own game alone?
5. Where do you fit in on your new tribe? Are you on the top, somewhere in the middle, or do you find yourself struggling at the bottom at this point in time? Do you see your fortunes changing anytime soon?
6. Rank your new tribe-mates from best to worst and briefly discuss your opinions of each player.
7. Now that you have discussed your own tribe, what do you think of the opposing tribe? Do you think they are unified, or do you think there might be some tension or cracks that you might be able to exploit in future?
8. Now that we are getting closer and closer to a merge, have you been planning for the long haul or have you been taking it round-by-round so far? What are your next plans moving forward?

1. In a rare turn of events, we had a player be pulled from the game. What are your thoughts on Dashon being "medically evacuated" out of New La Arana?
Good riddance.
2. Last round, the tribes were switched-up and we gave you guys a break from answering this questionnaire in order to take in the new changes and to get to know your new tribe-mates. How have you made use of this opportunity and how have you managed to bond with the new members of your tribe?
The game feels like it's been kicked into gear. Lots of information is being shared between members from different tribes, and I've been on several more Skype calls than I was in the first part of the game. Bryan and I have bonded over some things in common. I still maintain that he's wonderful. T.Q. seems really sweet, and it kind of sounds like Kurtis has pushed each of us to work with the other, so I guess we've bonded over Kurtis? We don't really talk about that so much, but with T.Q. he's at least formally stated he wants to work with me, and I have with him as well. Sassy's harder to talk to. She stays on invisible on Skype a lot, and then when I finally recognized a time I could talk to her, she let the conversation die pretty quickly. It's hard to keep up with her and Jacob on the Skype calls because they go way back and keep talking about mutual friends from Tengaged that none of the rest of us know. I don't understand why Sassy makes herself such an obvious pair with both Jacob and Bryan. Slayer continues to seem clueless. The other day he posted in our tribe chat that we really needed to talk soon. Then a few minutes later, he tells us to ignore that message because it was just for Bryan. Lol.
3. There was a lot of confusion during the last immunity challenge and in an iSurv1vor series first, a challenge was scrapped. How quickly did you adapt to this change? What were your initial thoughts of this change from your point of view within the game, given the dynamics of the tribal shuffle?
I think it worked in our favor. We knew that Kurtis was in danger on his tribe if he went to tribal council, so we were hoping he could pull out an immunity win. With us not being allowed to share scores though, we had no idea if that would happen. It's much easier to throw a simple math game like the poles challenge. The fact that the switch happened midday like that, and the fact that none of the members of our alliance were online to strategize, made it a little more difficult to throw. Slayer and Dashon managed to put us in a place where we were going to lose anyway though.
4. Let's talk about this auction. How important is tribal immunity this round? Are there any items catching your eye? How would you finesse bidding on tribal immunity and making a bid on an item that could further your own game alone?
I actually would've liked to win tribal immunity. I think it's interesting that the other tribe blew so much money on tribal immunity when Kurtis says they're all so arrogant and firm on their position that he will be an easy unanimous vote out of the game at their next tribal council. I managed to both win the items I wanted, and put forward the money for tribal immunity that I promised the group I would. I think I came out of this looking pretty good. I've already told my alliance about the items I won, and if word leaks about them, I think they're innocuous enough that they don't put a target on me.
5. Where do you fit in on your new tribe? Are you on the top, somewhere in the middle, or do you find yourself struggling at the bottom at this point in time? Do you see your fortunes changing anytime soon?
I feel like I'm at the bottom of my alliance. On the one hand, this bothers me; on the other, with the mix of people we have it might end up working out in my favor. They're all so jumpy and the fact that our alliance is 5/6 of the tribe making a vote split difficult, the sides of the alliance are coming to me to feel me out on voting out a member of our alliance. If I can work myself into the middle here, that could be a very good thing.
6. Rank your new tribe-mates from best to worst and briefly discuss your opinions of each player.
Best - T.Q., Bryan, Jacob, Sassy, Slayer - Worst
T.Q. - I like T.Q. He's sweet, smart, and fun. I think he sees that our interests align at the moment, and I don't worry too much about him pulling a fast one on me yet. His proximity to Cody could be a good thing, or it could be a bad thing. Profound, right?
Bryan - Bryan seems like one of the most down to earth people I've met in an ORG ever. Maybe it's just because we're both a couple of midwestern boys, but he seems like good people. I hope Bryan doesn't feel threatened by me. We've now acknowledged that we do know who the other is and that we know a lot of people in common. If he's familiar with my gameplay in the series we've both played, I can only hope he views me as loyal and non-threatening.
Jacob - I think I've written some negative things about Jacob, for whom I actually do have a soft spot, so I hope he knows I like him. If Jacob's with me, he could be a good shield. If he's against me, he's got enough friends in the cast that I could be in trouble.
Sassy - Meh.
Slayer - Lol.
7. Now that you have discussed your own tribe, what do you think of the opposing tribe? Do you think they are unified, or do you think there might be some tension or cracks that you might be able to exploit in future?
I think they are pretty unified, but I also find it interesting how much they put on tribal immunity. Perhaps they don't all feel as secure as they've told Kurtis. I've got some people over there that would probably look out for me come merge, and there are some I haven't spoken to at all, and one who I've heard has it in for me. I'd like to win an immunity challenge soon just to see what happens down there.
8. Now that we are getting closer and closer to a merge, have you been planning for the long haul or have you been taking it round-by-round so far? What are your next plans moving forward?
I've been looking forward, but I don't always feel that the timing's been quite right to make big moves to help me in the merge. After tonight we'll be down to twelve. I would really love to make merge/jury, so for now I guess you could say I'm taking it round-to-round. At the same time, I'm mindful of who is connected to whom, and what people are thinking, so I will do my best to secure myself a solid position within the merge tribe when I can if possible.

Here is the first questionnaire copied from my Treemail:
Confessional Questions #1:
1. What were your thoughts on Jermin being voted out of La Arana?
2. How has the group dynamic changed since the last Immunity Challenge/Tribal Council
3. You guys arrive in the game to be divided into three tribes, what was your initial reaction? How do you feel about it at this point and how do you see it playing out?
4. How does knowing about the partners twist and how two people are connected help you for your strategy?
5. The Hidden Immunity Idol has the potential to be bought every round at Tribal Council, how does this change your voting tactics?
6. On a scale of 1 - 5, rank your tribe mates.
7. Where do you stand in terms of alliances? Who are you with, who do you trust most, who are you excluding etc.
8. What is your next objective in this game moving forward?
1. At first, I just shrugged when I'd learned that Jermin was voted out. Actually, I don’t think I was bothered enough to shrug. I have never spoken a word to him, don't know a thing about him. Then, I remembered that Jermin was part of the frenemies pair (with Sassy) that Skylar submitted for the partner twist challenge. Jacob later confirmed this, but told me that they're more enemies who aren't even friends. I suspect that while Jacob isn't super active on this tribe, he has his hands in several other cookie jars, so after several instances of hearing Sassy's name attached to his, I could consider her guilty by association. Did this somehow play into his elimination? Jacob also said that Jermin has a reputation of making dramatic moves, so maybe his tribe preemptively struck to avoid that, or maybe he was already trying to upset someone in power on that tribe. Kurtis checked the number of posts that every player made on the board, and he believes that every member of the Arana tribe participated in the challenge but Jermin, so it could even be as simple as eliminating the least active player. I don’t think I can surmise much about the whole situation yet, but it has served to heighten my suspicion of Jacob and Sassy.
2. I’ve been in Chicago for the last few days, so I haven’t interacted with my tribe at all since the last IC/TC. I briefly spoke with Kurtis last night and got the sense that there probably hasn’t been much activity at all. Tina has posted in the shoutbox that she remembered her password, but in the time that she was on the board, she neglected to post anything on the Serpiente tribe forum and failed to respond to the PM I sent her a week ago letting her know that her contact info was posted wrong and that she should get in touch with us if possible. She also has yet to confirm my Skype contact request. I’d say things on the tribe are quite static at the moment.
3. I’ve played games that start with 2, 3, or 4 tribes. I suppose if I were trying to stay involved in other tribes’ affairs, the number of tribes and players would affect me, but I’m not really too concerned about any of that right now. I anticipate at least one shuffle in our near future, or if one tribe really suffers at immunity challenges, perhaps the other two tribes would absorb the survivors.
4. I’ve already written a bit in my confessionals about how I feel about the “partners” twist. I don’t think many of these partners are that closely tied together. I am trusting the info that Skylar gave me about which pairs he submitted for that challenge because everything I’ve heard from other players since that lines up with it. I think that for now just knowing who is partnered with whom is enough for me.
5. I’ve been idoled out before, and I hate leaving a game that way. I won’t make the mistake of not considering the potential of an idol at any vote; however, their potential for omnipresence can’t be completely disregarded. I feel like I’m talking a lot in these answers without actually saying much, but I think the Cliff’s Notes version is just that I’m going to play cautious and aware without being paranoid and rushing. What I don’t want is for the game to devolve into blindside after blindside because everyone is freaking out about hidden immunity idols. I don’t need that kind of reputation at FTC.
6. Jacob – 2, Kurtis – 3, Skylar – 2, Zavi – 3, Tina – 1 (1 being the worst, 5 being the best.) If the point was to rank them from favorite to least, I would say Kurtis, Zavi, Skylar, Jacob, Tina.
7. I’m still in the majority alliance of me, Kurtis, Skylar, and Jacob. Skylar offered me a final 2 deal on day one that I accepted (because, duh) but do not intend to honor. There’s something tacit developing between me and Kurtis, but I’m even a little suspicious of him right now. I’m excluding no one. I’ve even tried reaching out to Tina, who for all intents and purposes is a mute. Perhaps I should invest in a Canadian Sign Language book.
8. My next objective is probably to just stay the course. Kurtis did suggest that if we had lost that first immunity challenge he would have been willing to vote out someone other than Tina. I actually love this idea. She would be an easy boot for later, and if she continues to be this active, she could handicap another tribe in a shuffle situation. I told him I’d already submitted my Tina vote to the hosts because I was leaving town, but I also did not want to appear overly vicious so early in the game. Kurtis considered Jacob and Skylar the two potential targets in this scenario, and I believe he’s more troubled by Skylar’s attitude. I have that final two deal with Skylar and a history with him that I’d like to exploit later. Plus, I know that Skylar has the vote control. I trust Jacob less than I do Skylar. It would be ideal for me if I could just subtly help Skylar appear more trustworthy to Kurtis and shift some of his suspicion to Jacob so that Kurtis, Skylar, and I could vote out Jacob soon. I think Zavi could be brought into the fold, and Tina will likely remain a non-entity.
