Hey everyone!
Unfortunately, Jamie, the winner of iSurv1vor Arabia is unable to do a recorded interview, however she really wanted to tell you guys how she's been and her thoughts on iSurv1vor years later, so she answered some written questions for you guys! Enjoy.
1. iSurv1vor Arabia was way back in spring 2009! What have you been up to since then?!
Wow, a lot has happened in my life since then! I graduated from college in May of 2010 and then moved to Mississippi. Bleck! In July of 2011, I got married to my wonderful husband! And then in January of 2013, we had a beautiful baby boy! And of course, I've been hosting and playing games still. I just can't seem to get away from them!
2. You recently gave birth to the CUTEST baby!! Congratulations!!! Tell us about him!!
Thank you! His name is Grayson and he is pretty awesome. He loves Mickey Mouse and I'm trying to get him to love Britney Spears! He sure is a handful though because he rolls everywhere. And just last week, he said "mama"!
3. Well let's talk iSurv1vor now! Since it was so long ago, I know a lot of it must be hard to remember! Could you share a couple of your most memorable moments from Arabia? Besides winning!
It was my first time playing in a game where there was so much commitment involved.. Which I loved! It made the game seem more real than any other games that I had previously played.
But one thing that sticks out the most was Vartevar and I were partnered up in a challenge and we had to go up against each other. I think there might have been some sort of tie and we needed to battle it out. I ended up winning and he was pretty pissed off about it. He deleted all of his journals and he even contemplated quitting.
I also remember the twist of bringing back two former players - Bud and Ginny I believe. That was a pretty interesting twist at the time because everyone was getting used to the people on their tribe and then BAM, two more players to worry about.
4. Do you keep in touch with anyone from your season? Also, who do you remember the most from your season?
I've kept in touch with Vartevar a bit. We became really close during that game. He's one of the select few that I'm friends with on my personal facebook account.
I for sure remember Bud. It seemed like a lot of people weren't too fond of Bud, but I liked him most of the time. We had some really great talks and he helped me out greatly with a few personal problems. He really is a great guy!
I also remember Taylor. How could anyone forget him?! He's very fun!
5. Ultimately, why do you think you won the game?
I don't think I made too many enemies throughout the game. I played a pretty low key game and didn't get much blood on my hands.
But I would not have won the game if Bleeker had voted in time. I think he missed the deadline, so there was a back up and that person voted for me. Bleeker said he would have voted for Robbie. But in the end, a win is a win however it happens.
6. If your schedule permitted, would you play iSurv1vor all stars?
YES! Arabia was the best game I've ever played in and I love the iSurv1vor series. I was really disappointed when I played in HvV and was the 3rd boot because I was too busy having sex a few times to talk to people.. Uhm, sex >>> than talking to people on the internet. But I really need redemption from that game!
7. Is there anything else you want to say about iSurv1vor or to anyone in the iSurv1vor community?
The iSurv1vor community is awesome! Unfortunately, I haven't been able to keep up with the last couple seasons, but it feels like family still! And Sandy is the best host ever!
